Thank you for your interest in joining the Post It Love working board! As a newly established nonprofit, we are seeking dedicated, hands-on individuals who are passionate about our mission of uplifting underserved students through the power of handwritten notes.
CANIDATE PROCESS
As a member of the Post It Love working board, you will be expected to actively contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Complete your Board of Directors Application by Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Participate in Board Candidate Interview (Date, Time, Location/Format TBA)

Learn your board application status by Friday, May 3, 2024.

Selected candidates will be invited to a brief welcome event with current Board members and Staff. We will start Board training in May and officially begin your Board term on June 3, 2024. Board meetings are typically the last Monday of each month in the evening.
BOARD EXPECTATIONS, TIME COMMITMENT, AND COMMITTEE ROLES
BOARD EXPECTATION

Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings

Serve on at least one committee and contribute to its goals and initiatives

Actively engage in fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation and solicitation

Leverage personal and professional networks to promote Post It Love and expand its reach

Provide strategic guidance and support to help the organization achieve its mission

Act as an ambassador for Post It Love in the community

Make a personal financial contribution to Post It Love, within your means

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organizational information

Disclose and manage any potential conflicts of interest

TIME COMMITMENT

Quarterly board meetings (2 hours each)

Committee meetings (monthly or bi-monthly, 1-2 hours each)

Fundraising and Outreach Activities (2-4 hours per month)

Preparation and follow-up for meetings and events (1-2 hours per month)

Estimated total time commitment: 8-12 hours per month

Provide oversight and guidance for Post It Love’s educational programs

Develop and evaluate program strategies and initiatives

Monitor program impact and effectiveness

Identify opportunities for program expansion and improvement

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Develop and implement community outreach strategies

Identify and cultivate partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders

Plan and execute community engagement events and campaigns

Monitor and report on community engagement progress

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
